EQ 10--What are we using the Flash program to create? Tell me at least 5 terms and explain them that you learned as we did practice with Flash.

We are using Flash to create a story with motion (animation?). I've learned about the motion tween, classic tween, shape tween, keyframes and the deco tool. Motion tween is use to move something in the motion you want it to. The classic tween just moves the selected object from point A to point be in a line. I learn to use the shape tween to change a shape into another shape. Keyframes were use to create the tweens and the deco tool was used to create cool effects/patterns.

EQ 9--How did your company presentation go? What was the best part? What was the weakest part? What is the main thing you learned during this presentation?

It went okay. I was doing good in the beginning and then as it went on I began to get nervous because they didn't say anything. The main lesson I learned is that I really do HATE presentation.

Its coming along pretty nicely. We managed to get the business plan completed. We have most of the ad done and we have the recording.

EQ 7--Review this semester. What activities have you enjoyed and why? Why activities have you not enjoyed and why? Upload your favorite piece of work so far and explain why it is your favorite

This semester has gone by fairly quickly (mainly because of the snow days.) Most of the activites were pretty fun. I got to play and learn about Photoshop and Illustrator which is why I signed up for the class. I enjoyed, the name play, facetrace, post cards, and logos. Name play, I got to exlpore photoshop and add effect to the text. Facetrace, I learned about layers and how much eaier it is to keep different things on different layers. Post cards, I learned to use many tools and something tha I never knew photoshop had. With the logos, I got to get creative and kept things simple. The only thing that I didn't enjoy was taking the photo near the beginning of the semester.


This is still my favorite, I've spent a lot of time on it and I created it. Nothing better than the original. :)

EQ 6--Upload your favorite logo. Explain how you made it. Explain why it is your favorite.

The first time I made this, I had created only four circles and then randomly twisted the circles. Once I had something I like, I just pasted the two navy "C"s onto the center of the logo. Then I did something really dumb and somehow saved another logo over this one.... Then lot of people came around and wrote that they liked this one the best.... So I opened up the .gif image I saved of this in Illustrator and attempted to recreate it. 

I started by creating a second layer and copying the "C"s from another logo file, cause I made sure I uses the same font and position for all of them. I then selected the pen tool and began to trace the purple logo in the background. After I got the logo traces, I used the direct selection tool and dragged the anchor points around until I had something that looked like the logo. I went back and added some more anchor points where I needed then and modified them as close as I could into the previous logo. Once I had all this, I took the warp tool and smoothened the edges. Last thing I did was sent the logo to the back and the outcome looks better then I thought it would be.  :) It my favorite because I've been spent more a lot of time on this one than any other logo.

EQ 5--What are the eight parts of the business plan your were assigned? Is that different then you thought? What are the issues you have had so far writing your plan? What has been easy?

The eight parts of a business plan are Executive Summary, Company Description, Market Analysis, Organization & Management, Service or Product Line, Marketing & Sales, Funding Request, and Financial Projections. The Appendix isn't part of a business plan, it's optional but we had to do one anyways. Nothing is different from what I thought, I knew it was going to be hard after seeing the parts to it. There wasn't a lot of issues, just a lot "where do I get this information", after we got the information, things went fairy smoothly. Nothing about a business plan was easy, everything required thought, research and calculating.

EQ 4--What do you think goes in a business plan? What are the parts? Is research involved? What facts do you need to know, if any? Where could you find this information?

In a business plan, there should be a information about what the business is going to do in the future. It should state the goals of the business and should be used to guide the business until these goals are reached. Therefore the information in the business plan should always be up to date in order for the plan to be successful.

I really don't know what I'm talking about......

EQ 3--Explain at least two difference between Photoshop and Illustrator. Which one do you like better and why?

Photoshop uses pixels while Illustrator is a vector. In Photoshop, if the picture is zoomed in too much the image begins to show it pixels and if its stretched too much the image become blurry. If an image were to be zoomed in or stretched in Illustrator, the image would still keep its smooth lines and strokes. From just playing with Illustrator, I like it a lot better than Photoshop just because the images are smoother.

EQ 2--What has been your favorite project so far and why? Upload the project and explain why it has been your favorite.

My favorite project so far would have to be the one company logo one. Its my favorite because I got to mess around with program and experiment with it. Not only did I learn how to use new tools and merge layers but also got to be creative.

EQ 1--What do you need to do to start a business? Try to list and explain at least 5 things that you would need to consider.

A person who wants to start a business would have to consider what kind of business they want to run and how they would run it. Another thing they would have to think about is what would they do if the were to business fail because it happens. The person would also have to get business permits and licenses. They would have to consider if they had the money to start the business or not. One of the most important things would thing about running a business, would be meeting all state requirements.
